ixigo is seeking a Senior Software Developer - Backend to design, develop, and scale core product features for India's leading online travel agency (OTA). You will take ownership of backend modules end-to-end, from design through deployment and support, while collaborating with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing scalable, high-performance software systems; owning modules end-to-end including design, development, testing, deployment, and support; collaborating with product and design teams to build impactful features; writing maintainable and scalable code; driving performance improvements and system stability; conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers; participating in architecture discussions and contributing to technical decisions; and continuously evaluating and adopting new technologies.

Requirements:
- 3–6 years of software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE technologies
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Experience building scalable and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL/Postgres)
- Experience with MongoDB, Web Services, and microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of design patterns and scalable architecture
- Experience with performance optimization and debugging tools
- Good knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and memory management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers
- Preferred: experience in product-based companies, internet companies, or startups; experience in e-commerce or travel domain
