7AI is a foundational AI security company founded in 2024 by Cybereason co-founders Lior Div and Yonatan Striem-Amit. The company emerged from stealth in February 2025 with a mission to automate the non-human work of security operations centers (SOCs). The platform combines a federated SIEM with AI agents that detect, investigate, respond, and hunt threats, supplemented by dedicated threat hunting and threat intelligence capabilities, keeping humans in the loop. As a Senior Software Architect, you will join the core R&D team at a pivotal stage where your technical decisions shape the company's trajectory. Your primary responsibility is to define and evolve the technical foundation of the platform as it scales to handle increasing volumes of security operations work. You will work across engineering, product, and AI teams to ensure systems remain reliable, scalable, and ready to integrate new AI tooling.
Key responsibilities include owning and evolving system architecture across the platform while maintaining scalability, reliability, and maintainability. You will partner with engineering and product teams to design systems that balance rapid delivery with long-term flexibility. You'll lead technical decisions, weighing trade-offs across performance, cost, and complexity. You will translate ambiguous business or product needs into clear technical approaches and system designs. You'll identify and address architectural gaps, technical debt, and scaling bottlenecks before they become blockers. As a senior individual contributor, you will mentor engineers and serve as a technical thought partner across teams.
Additionally, you will evaluate and apply AI tools, frameworks, and workflows to improve the product and accelerate internal development. You'll track advances in AI development and help the team adopt those worth adopting. You'll contribute to building a culture of curiosity and experimentation with AI across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 20+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in system design and architecture
- Track record of designing and evolving distributed, scalable systems
- Broad AWS cloud architecture experience, including designing and building complex data plane and control plane systems
- Ability to go deep technically while influencing broadly across teams
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex systems clearly
- Experience with data pipelines, highly scalable systems, and cloud-native architectures and services
