You will join the Platform team as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, working at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, reliability, and security. This role focuses on building secure, reliable, and scalable systems as Maze scales. You'll take ownership across boundaries, bringing a pragmatic approach to solving problems while learning quickly and making measurable impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building, operating, and evolving cloud infrastructure with reliability, scalability, and security in mind
- Improving observability practices and helping engineers understand, debug, and operate production systems
- Partnering across engineering and security teams to strengthen cloud security posture and operational practices
- Supporting security and compliance initiatives, including vulnerability management, security testing, and audit readiness
- Building tooling and automation that reduces manual work and improves developer experience
- Bringing operational and security perspectives to architecture and technical decisions
- Improving incident preparation, response, and post-incident learning processes
- Leveraging modern AI-assisted and agentic workflows to build, debug, and operate systems more effectively
The technical stack includes AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Datadog, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Snowflake, TypeScript, and Node.js. You don't need experience with every technology—strong fundamentals, learning ability, and excitement about building reliable systems matter most.

Requirements:
- Experience building and operating production systems in a modern cloud environment, ideally AWS
- Understanding of modern SRE and infrastructure practices, including infrastructure as code and containerized workloads
- Experience with observability, including monitoring, alerting, and production visibility
- Security mindset with experience or interest in cloud security, vulnerability management, or application security
- Exposure to security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001, or interest in developing deeper expertise
- Ability to automate repetitive work using code and comfort with at least one programming language
- Excitement about AI-assisted development and active use of modern AI tools
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment with ownership, curiosity, and pragmatic decision-making
