CSC Generation is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to lead AI-accelerated test automation across web, API, and mobile platforms. This role sits at the intersection of quality engineering and emerging AI tooling, requiring both deep automation expertise and the judgment to effectively leverage AI coding assistants.
You will build and maintain scalable automation suites using Playwright, integrating AI tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Playwright agents) to generate test plans, test cases, page objects, and test data from requirements and Jira stories. Critically, you own validation and hardening of every AI-generated test before merge—the suite's correctness is your responsibility regardless of authorship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining functional, regression, API, and performance/load testing coverage using Playwright, Postman, JMeter, k6, or equivalent tools
- Driving down flaky tests through resilient locator strategies, self-healing automation, and automated failure triage
- Integrating automated quality gates into GitHub Actions CI/CD so every deploy is validated by pipeline rather than manual sign-off
- Performing focused exploratory testing on new features, UI/UX changes, and complex user flows to catch edge cases automation misses
- Determining what should be automated, delegated to AI, or tested manually—balancing coverage, risk, and release timelines
- Helping define testing strategies for AI-powered customer experiences (search, recommendations) where outputs are non-deterministic and require evaluation rubrics
- Tracking and reporting quality metrics (automation coverage, defect escape rate, flake rate, test cycle time)
- Collaborating with QA peers and engineering teams to share knowledge, best practices, and AI workflows
- Mentoring QA engineers on automation and responsible AI-assisted testing
This is an end-to-end ownership role: you own the automation framework, CI/CD quality gates, and testing strategy across the engineering org. Your work directly shapes what ships to customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years Quality Assurance and Testing experience, including 3+ years building and maintaining test automation in CI/CD
- Proven hands-on experience with Playwright for web and API E2E automation (Cypress or Selenium a plus)
- Strong automation fundamentals: designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable test suites; diagnosing and eliminating flaky tests
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python (Java a plus); test code written to production-code standards
- Hands-on, day-to-day use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor) with discipline to validate and correct AI-generated output
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred), including parallel execution, reporting, and quality gates
- Solid experience with functional, regression, API, and performance/load testing (Postman, JMeter, k6, or equivalent)
- Strong exploratory testing skills and judgment to build risk-based test strategies across automated, AI-assisted, and manual coverage
- Demonstrated SDLC and Agile experience with defect lifecycle management using Jira and TestRail
- Ability to operate effectively under steady release cadence with minimal supervision
PREFERRED:
- E-commerce QA automation experience with frequent CI/CD shipping
- Experience building or adopting agentic testing workflows (AI test generation, self-healing tests, MCP-connected tools, LLM-based failure triage)
- Experience testing AI/ML-powered features (search, recommendations, LLM-generated content) with evaluation of non-deterministic output
- Familiarity with BrowserStack or cloud device/browser grids
- Experience with observability tooling (Grafana, GCP infrastructure) and using production signals to prioritize test coverage
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
