Fliff is a rewards-driven entertainment platform reimagining social gaming and sports betting through a freemium model. The Integration team owns critical backend integrations across the product, including KYC providers, geolocation services, payment methods, and other external systems essential to product operation and user experience.
In this role, you will take full ownership of backend features and improvements from design through implementation, deployment, and production support. You'll design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining integrations with external systems (KYC, geolocation, payment partners, and third-party services), working closely with product and engineering teams to scope and deliver new integrations, implementing observability across integration flows with monitoring, logging, and alerting, writing unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and improve test coverage, and supporting production issues through on-call rotations.

REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 5+ years of development experience with Python as primary language
- Strong experience in API and system integrations
- Proven experience integrating third-party APIs with deep understanding of webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling (payments and KYC integrations are strong plus)
- Experience with observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production integrations
- Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and concurrency
- Experience in architecture design of highly loaded and scalable solutions
- Strong understanding of full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment and production monitoring
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in early-stage startups and fast-paced engineering environments
- Experience writing automated tests, measuring test coverage, and defining test automation strategies
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana
- Experience in sports/betting industries
