Impulse Space is seeking a Senior Propulsion Component Engineer (Electromechanical) to own all aspects of component design from concept through product realization. You will work closely with a fast-paced, agile engineering team developing high-performance spacecraft from clean sheet design.
In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of propulsion component development, including conceptual design, analysis, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing integration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure components meet performance, reliability, and cost targets. This is an individual contributor role where your technical expertise and leadership will guide the propulsion subsystem architecture.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in electromechanical propulsion systems, component-level design, and spacecraft or aerospace applications. You should be comfortable working in a startup environment with rapid iteration cycles and the ability to make sound engineering decisions with incomplete information.
REQUIREMENTS:
The posting provided does not explicitly state specific years of experience, educational requirements, or technical certifications. Candidates should infer that senior-level propulsion component engineering experience, likely in aerospace or defense, is expected based on the seniority level and role scope.
