Socure is building identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy, verifying identities in real time and preventing fraud. The company serves financial institutions, fintechs, and government agencies with AI-powered identity verification, fraud prevention, document verification, and compliance solutions.
You will join the product design team as a Senior Product Designer, working on complex enterprise and self-serve products including RiskOS workflows, agentic experiences, onboarding flows, and document verification. This is a hands-on role spanning research, problem framing, exploration, prototyping, testing, and launch.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with researchers, product managers, engineers, solution consultants, and customers to understand builder goals, technical constraints, and adoption barriers. Conduct customer interviews, usability studies, and competitive research.
- Synthesize research into clear themes and design implications. Build domain fluency in identity verification, fraud prevention, KYC, watchlist screening, and compliance.
- Frame ambiguous problems into clearly defined challenges with measurable outcomes. Map end-to-end customer journeys across discovery, onboarding, configuration, integration, and operations.
- Generate and validate multiple solution approaches. Design flows for account setup, workflow configuration, agent interaction, testing, and case management. Prototype at appropriate fidelity and test with customers.
- Produce detailed designs and specifications for engineering. Connect product interfaces, APIs, documentation, dashboards, and operational workflows into coherent experiences. Make complex capabilities understandable without hiding meaningful tradeoffs.
- Leverage AI tools (Figma AI, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to accelerate research, prototyping, and documentation while applying independent judgment and protecting user trust.
- Contribute reusable patterns to the design system. Identify when solutions should become shared components. Improve consistency between Figma, code, documentation, and shipped behavior.
- Present work clearly, explain tradeoffs, and make decisions visible to cross-functional partners.
Success means reducing time for customers to understand solutions and reach first test, making products easier to understand and operate, increasing confidence in risk decisions through clear system behavior, reducing implementation effort through better flows and patterns, and helping teams make better decisions earlier through research and prototypes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of product design experience designing and shipping digital products with ownership of meaningful areas from discovery through delivery
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking: problem, evidence, options considered, final experience, implementation, and outcome
- Experience designing self-serve, product-led, developer-facing, SaaS, fintech, workflow, platform, or technically complex products
- Strong research and synthesis skills; ability to choose appropriate methods and turn findings into decisions
- Strong problem-framing skills; ability to define user, context, unmet need, business objective, constraints, and success measures
- Strong interaction and visual design craft including information architecture, workflows, forms, states, content hierarchy, accessibility, and responsive behavior
- Experience exploring multiple directions and validating concepts through prototypes, usability testing, and customer feedback
- Ability to design for complex systems and non-happy paths including permissions, configuration, errors, and transitions
- Product judgment understanding how design improves activation, conversion, time-to-value, retention, and customer trust
- Technical fluency sufficient to collaborate with engineers on APIs, data, system behavior, and implementation tradeoffs
- Experience working with design systems and contributing reusable, accessible, documented patterns
- Practical experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Figma AI, Cursor) to improve speed and exploration
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Comfort working in environments with evolving priorities and incomplete information
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with developer tools, APIs, SDKs, webhooks, or technical documentation
- Experience designing sandbox, test-mode, staging, or environment-management workflows
- Experience with pricing, billing, usage metering, or plan comparisons
- Experience in fintech, identity, fraud, compliance, or trust-sensitive domains
- Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or front-end implementation
- Experience designing AI-assisted workflows, agentic products, or systems with probabilistic outputs
- Experience with accessibility standards, content design, or responsible AI patterns
PORTFOLIO REQUIRED: Submit one or two substantial product-design projects demonstrating user and business context understanding, problem framing, use of research/data/testing, exploration of alternatives, complete experience design including edge cases, collaboration with engineering, and outcome assessment.
