Dash0 is hiring a Senior Product Engineer for Darkplane, a platform that helps engineering teams adopt AI-driven development safely and reliably. Darkplane sits at the intersection of agentic engineering and developer experience, addressing the shift in software development where AI coding agents write more code—moving the hard work downstream to code review, trust decisions, safe merging, and learning from production issues to improve the AI SDLC.
You will work across backend, platform, and product engineering. On the backend side, you'll build ingest pipelines, evaluation runtimes, and data models. On the product side, you'll talk to customers, understand how teams adopt agentic workflows, and make decisions about what to build and what to cut. The role spans TypeScript/Node.js for the main platform, with Go for control-plane and analytics services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and evolving Darkplane, primarily in TypeScript/Node.js and Go
- Designing secure approaches to running untrusted code and helping customers adopt AI safely in their SDLC
- Partnering with AI engineers to make agentic workflows reliable and fast in production
- Shaping the developer experience: workflows, feedback loops, and guardrails that make AI-authored code trustworthy
- Making product decisions by talking to customers and understanding their adoption patterns
- Co-owning stability and catching technical risks early through strong observability

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Go (or ability to quickly learn using coding agents)
- Strong grasp of distributed systems and production reliability
- Sound data-modeling instincts across relational (Postgres) and analytical (ClickHouse or similar) databases
- Experience building or operating agentic AI systems, LLM pipelines, or code sandbox environments
- Proven end-to-end product ownership experience, including frontend development
- Genuine curiosity about customers and how engineering teams work; ability to make product decisions from customer understanding and business sense
- Interest in agentic software development adoption and how companies practically implement it
- Fluency with AI and agentic coding tools, with judgment about when to trust them
- Clear communication and documentation habits; ability to work independently while keeping the team informed
NICE TO HAVE:
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry ecosystem or observability tooling
- Experience building analytical and experimentation platforms
- Comfort mentoring junior team members
