As a Senior Product Engineer, you will be a builder and operator who takes problems from operational threads or customer complaints all the way to production. You'll use AI agents as a core part of your workflow rather than occasional assists. This is not a siloed role—you'll work across backend services, frontend, and infrastructure with strong technical fundamentals across modern systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own features end-to-end, from architecture decisions through rollout
- Work across frontend, backend services, and infrastructure without team silos
- Talk directly to users and internal teams to identify real problems before scoping fixes
- Monitor alert channels to understand and fix issues as they arise
- Push for engineering excellence through performance tuning, best practices, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate extensively with design to bring features to life
- Define success metrics for shipped work and use post-launch data to inform next steps
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, and similar AI tools daily, focusing on harness engineering to drive team-wide improvements
- Identify high-impact opportunities where AI can improve internal workflows and drive them from prototype to production
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional software development experience; emphasis on what you've shipped and operated over titles
- Strong product instincts: think holistically about UX, API design, and system correctness; shape what gets built rather than execute specs
- Systems thinking across REST APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and databases (SQL/NoSQL), with patterns for scaling backend systems
- Intuition for financial systems or strong desire to build one
- Fluency with AI coding tools in real production work; use them to move faster while maintaining correctness, reliability, and maintainability
- Strong sense of ownership and comfort with ambiguity; lead complex projects end-to-end and see them through from idea to launch
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; work well with cross-functional partners in pull requests, design discussions, and code reviews
- Care about craft and deep technical knowledge with a track record of shipping high-quality software; prioritize solving real-world problems over polishing for perfection
Ideal candidates are product-driven and care about user experience, have an operator instinct to read channels and understand issues before tickets arrive, and have a strong bias toward action and shipping features quickly.
