Salary: USD 220,000 - 300,000 / annual
Conveo is a Y Combinator-backed AI research platform enabling fast, affordable, and high-quality consumer and B2B research. Global brands like Unilever, Google, and Orange use Conveo's AI video interviewer to generate insights across marketing and product teams. The company raised a $50M Series A led by DST Global and is in active growth, scaling from ~20 to ~120 people by year end.
In this Senior Product Engineer role, you will own the full stack from customer problem to shipped software. You'll work backwards from user experience, starting with the customer's need rather than a spec, and maintain end-to-end ownership of features from interface to infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own full-stack development: lead React/TypeScript frontend architecture, set quality standards for components and state management, and ship complete features end-to-end including AI-powered capabilities
- Design and build APIs, work with PostgreSQL databases, and manage background jobs and async workflows
- Handle cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP, including services like S3 and media pipelines
- Be the engineering voice in customer conversations (approximately once weekly), interpreting customer needs and translating feedback into scoped product decisions
- Leverage AI throughout the development process—use agentic solutions, AI-assisted reasoning, code review, and testing
- Independently lead projects from concept to launch
The engineering team is deliberately small with no product managers or designer handoffs. Engineers own proximity to the product and customer problems. You'll report directly to Maarten, the CTO.
Conveo operates offices in London, Antwerp, and New York, with a hybrid model requiring 3 days per week in the NYC office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of experience building full-stack applications with TypeScript and Node.js
- Strong backend experience: API design, PostgreSQL, background jobs, and async workflows
- Solid React frontend skills
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS and/or GCP)—comfortable with S3, media pipelines, deployment tooling
- Experience building AI-driven applications (prompt engineering, LLM APIs, fine-tuning a plus)
- Ability to independently lead projects from concept to launch
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset, able to work autonomously in a small, fast-paced team

- React Router v7 or Remix experience
- Experience at a small, fast-moving SaaS company with client-facing responsibilities
- Exposure to market research or qualitative research tooling
- Shipped agentic AI systems to production with understanding of failure modes, evaluations, and tool design
