Mariana Tek, a vertical SaaS platform under Xplor Technologies, is seeking a Senior Product Designer to create intuitive design solutions for boutique fitness studios. The platform enables end-to-end business management spanning class scheduling, booking, inventory management, point-of-sale, and related operations.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute product strategies aligned with user needs and business goals. You'll lead complex design initiatives, pushing the boundaries of product strategy and visual craft while delivering world-class consumer experiences for both studio operators and their members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing intuitive UX/UI solutions for complex web and mobile applications
- Conducting and synthesizing user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys) to inform design decisions
- Creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and design documentation
- Developing and maintaining design systems and interaction design patterns
- Communicating design decisions and rationale to diverse stakeholders
- Autonomously leading design initiatives and mentoring team members
- Collaborating with engineers to navigate technical constraints and opportunities
- Breaking down complex problems into actionable design solutions
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in UX Design with a strong portfolio showcasing successful UX/UI solutions for complex web and mobile applications
- Experience in a Lead or Senior design role is highly preferred
- Mastery of Figma (primary tool) and Design Thinking methodology
- Proficiency in creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, research questions, and user surveys
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, information architecture, design systems, and interaction design patterns
- Solid understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and ability to communicate effectively with engineers
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Proven ability to autonomously lead design initiatives, influence stakeholders, and mentor team members
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; remote roles require residency in Canada
Bonus skills:
- Experience in B2B SaaS environments
- Familiarity with AI in design, research, and copy (e.g., Co-pilot, Figma Make, Miro AI)
- Proficiency in front-end coding (HTML, CSS) for prototyping or component development
