Superhuman (formerly Grammarly + Coda) is an AI productivity platform serving over 40 million users and 50,000 organizations. The company is reimagining the productivity suite for the AI era, with products including writing assistance, collaborative workspaces, inbox management, and Go—a proactive AI assistant.
You'll join the design team in Porto, working on Superhuman Docs and related products. The Porto office hosts several teams focused on product-led growth, mobile app redesign for AI, AI-powered Tables, and Go integration. You'll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers across distributed teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Shape product direction by contributing design perspective to roadmap and strategy discussions, not just execution
- Work directly with customers to understand needs and translate them into clear, usable designs
- Deliver high-quality design across flows and polished interfaces, balancing clarity, usability, and craft
- Experiment and iterate rapidly with PMs and engineers in a fast-moving environment, using AI tools to prototype and validate ideas
- Contribute to and evolve the design system to support scaling teams and use cases
- Work hybrid: several days per week from downtown Porto office, with remote collaboration across US-based design team
The role emphasizes autonomy, trust, and collaborative culture. You'll work across time zones with a distributed team and have occasional travel to New York and San Francisco hubs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience shipping products users love, ideally with AI-centered products, productivity tools, or mobile apps
- Portfolio demonstrating how you've solved difficult product problems with simple, elegant solutions
- Comfortable working end-to-end from discovery and wireframes through high-fidelity designs and AI-assisted prototypes
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys collaborative iteration
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working across time zones with distributed teams
- Based in Porto with willingness to travel occasionally to US hubs
