Ecair finances the energy transition by working directly with construction and retrofit companies. The platform transforms quotes into customized financing plans, deducting subsidies and advancing funds through Ecair while the remainder is financed through installments aligned with the project's energy savings. You will report directly to a co-founder and own the design system, ensuring consistent application across all products.
The core problems you'll solve:
Distribution: Making financing a sales argument. Financing is proposed at the critical moment of sale. If the user journey is too long or too technical, the project fails. Your solutions must enable construction companies to offer clients financing in minutes without prior financial expertise, while respecting regulatory requirements. The challenge is simplifying what banks have complicated for decades.
Underwriting: Securing financings. A financing file passes through many stages: supporting documents, controls, decisions, disbursement. AI plays a central role—internal AI agents handle controls and must interact with construction companies and the operations team. The challenge is enabling agents and humans to collaborate on the same interface, allowing users to simply track each project from start to finish.
Your responsibilities:
- Own the design of Ecair's products, their coherence, and the evolution of the design system
- Spend regular time with users—not just in discovery: meetings with sales teams, sessions with ops teams, exchanges with client admin teams
- Play a central role in designing user journeys, collaborating with Product Managers and Product Engineers from problem framing through final interface
- Prototype quickly to test ideas before specification
- Verify that your product is used as intended; the work doesn't end at production launch
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of product design experience, including work on B2B products with complex workflows (fintech, business tools, workflows)
- Proven track record of owning the design of an entire product or significant product areas independently
- Strong user research skills; ability to articulate how user conversations shaped your design decisions
- Post-launch validation mindset; you monitor product usage to confirm or refute your hypotheses
- Comfort with AI-augmented design: rapid prototyping, feedback consolidation, and autonomous delivery of smaller iterations. You have the autonomy to see things through to completion.
