Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior PLM Software Engineer to own the development and integration layer between Teamcenter and ArsenalOS, Anduril's manufacturing execution system. You will build the digital thread connecting engineering release to factory-floor machines and inspection systems, enabling CAM programs, CAI/CMM programs, tools, fixtures, and inspection results to move automatically rather than by manual processes. You will build and own integrations that carry CAM and CAI data out of Teamcenter and onto the shop floor, including NX CAM outputs, DNC dispatch to machine controls, and return paths for as-run data. You'll develop custom Teamcenter extensions using ITK and SOA, along with BMIDE data model changes and Active Workspace interfaces to support manufacturing workflows beyond off-the-shelf configuration. You will close the inspection loop by integrating CAI and metrology systems so measured results land back in the digital thread as structured data rather than static reports. Additional responsibilities include making EBOM to MBOM propagation and model-based definition data flow automatically into downstream manufacturing and quality systems, unblocking partner teams across scheduling, applied AI, and manufacturing systems by exposing manufacturing data through APIs, and partnering with manufacturing engineers and factory operators to understand production workflows and translate them into software requirements. You will write production-quality code with comprehensive tests, participate in code review and architectural discussions, deploy and operate systems in factory environments including edge compute clusters and OT networks, leverage AI tooling in your development workflow, and join an on-call rotation supporting production factory systems. This role is part of Maritime Digital Production (MDP), the software and digital systems function within Anduril's Heavy Metal division. MDP builds the software-defined shipyard—the full technology stack running Anduril's shipbuilding factories. This work is anchored by Arsenal-2, a software-defined shipyard being built in Baltimore County, Maryland as part of a $6.6 billion investment in America's submarine industrial base. MDP operates at the boundary between Operational Technology and Information Technology, with systems that live where factory-floor machines, edge compute, and OT networks meet enterprise platforms and cloud infrastructure. The environment is fast, physical, and consequential: when systems go down, production stops. MDP is scaling from a founding team to 70+ engineers across multiple U.S. sites. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years of experience in a software engineering role building production systems, ideally in a fast-paced environment - Deep expertise in Teamcenter development: 5+ years hands-on with ITK and SOA customization in C++ and Java, BMIDE data modeling, and Active Workspace - Demonstrated experience building custom Teamcenter handlers, services, and integrations, not only configuring workflows and templates - Working knowledge of manufacturing data domains, including CAM, CAI, CMM, NC programming outputs, machine dispatch, metrology and inspection data, and the relationship between EBOM and MBOM - Experience authoring and developing NX Open programs to automate NX/Design Center workflows - Strong technical fluency in modern software architectures, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud or edge infrastructure - Experience building systems that must operate reliably under real-world operational constraints (high availability, low latency, or constrained environments) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams - Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience - Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or OT-adjacent domains (MES, SCADA, PLC integration, factory automation, IoT) - Hands-on experience with CAM and CAI toolchains such as NX CAM, Vericut, and PolyWorks, and with industrial data protocols such as MTConnect and OPC-UA - Familiarity with model-based definition standards including STEP AP242, ASME Y14.41, CAD PMI, and QIF for inspection data exchange - Familiarity with frontier AI tooling, AI coding assistants, and AI-enabled software development workflows - Experience in hyper-growth startup-like environments, with demonstrated success balancing speed, ambiguity, and long-term system health - Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, WMS, or manufacturing planning systems - Experience in manufacturing industries with hands-on exposure to assembly lines or production environments
