Salary: USD 129,000 - 193,500 / annual
Recorded Future, a leading intelligence company serving 1,900+ clients worldwide, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join its dynamic engineering team. This role is central to enabling the engineering organization to operate and build at the scale and pace required by the evolving security threat landscape.
You will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery. You'll develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, and support production Kubernetes clusters in AWS. You will manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, administer GitHub repositories and workflows, and collaborate with development teams to enhance developer toolsets and streamline SDLC processes. You'll troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, implement security and reliability best practices, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate is curious and collaborative, working with existing tools while identifying new approaches and technologies—including AI-related capabilities—to increase team velocity and impact. You will foster a responsive, communicative, and collaborative environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or similar role
- Proficiency in Golang or Python for scripting and automation
- Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Proven knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and experience with ArgoCD
- Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration
- Proven experience with AWS cloud services
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good networking knowledge
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with GitHub runners and other CI/CD tools and platforms
- Familiarity with Go, Python, or Java in the context of CI/CD
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana stacks
- Experience in networking and Linux
- AWS or Kubernetes certification; experience with Backstage is a plus
- Experience with kOps is a plus
- Knowledge of Cilium CNI is a plus
