Lifen is a healthtech company founded in 2015 with a mission to unlock the potential of medical data to transform healthcare systems. With over 150 employees working remotely and from offices, Lifen builds AI-powered solutions that enable healthcare professionals to share medical information seamlessly and accelerate clinical research discoveries.
The Infrastructure team develops products that advance the healthcare system. The Cloud Services team builds and maintains cloud-native infrastructure services, ensuring availability, monitoring, proper implementation, and scalability. You will join a senior team in evolution to strengthen the Platform Engineering function.
The internal Development Platform enables development teams to host, deploy, and operate applications securely and autonomously. This platform is critical to multiple Lifen products and operates in a multi-cloud environment with a progressive migration from AWS to GCP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evolve an Internal Development Platform enabling development teams to deploy and operate applications securely with high self-service capabilities
- Play a crucial role in platform infrastructure architecture in a multi-cloud environment, with particular focus on GCP
- Build and maintain the Internal Development Platform used by 50+ internal clients, then support their practical adoption
- Participate in two-week build/run rotations: production incidents, monitoring alerts, complex investigation requests from development teams, and maintain service quality standards
- Help teams solve problems rather than acting in their place; develop their autonomy rather than provide simple access or helpdesk operations
- Drive adoption by presenting improvements, supporting users, verifying real-world usage, and correcting issues in production
- Collaborate with Development, Product, Data, AI, and Security/Compliance teams
The team works entirely remotely from France. Written communication, asynchronous information sharing, and the ability to build connections in a distributed team are essential.
Requirements:
Must-have:
- Confirmed experience in infrastructure, SRE, or Platform Engineering in a demanding production environment
- Deep expertise in a cloud service provider (CSP), competent in managing and optimizing managed services such as Kubernetes, Object Storage, Database, Message Bus, and KMS to build robust, secure, and scalable cloud-native solutions
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt) for efficient configuration management and infrastructure automation and container orchestration to create and maintain resilient, automated deployment pipelines (FluxCD)
- Significant experience with monitoring and metrics tools, including Victoria Metrics, Grafana, and EFK stack, to ensure real-time visibility of system health and performance
- Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced cloud-native environment
- Experience working in distributed teams and appetite for collective success in a silo-free organization
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in a scale-up, regulated environment, or infrastructure supporting multiple SaaS products
- Practical use of AI tools in work with attention to results achieved
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear articulation of complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

- Comfortable in a fully remote team; make your reasoning clear, share useful information in writing, and ask for help when needed
