7AI is a foundational AI security company founded in 2024 by Cybereason co-founders. The platform pairs a federated SIEM with AI agents that detect, investigate, respond, and hunt threats, complemented by dedicated threat hunting and threat intelligence capabilities with humans in the loop.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will build and scale the core infrastructure powering 7AI's AI-driven security products. You'll work closely with AI, backend, and product teams to ensure systems remain performant, stable, and secure under production pressure. This is a foundational role where your work directly shapes the company's technical direction at a pivotal growth stage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build scalable, secure, high-performance infrastructure for the AI-native platform
- Own AWS region expansion, system hardening for compliance, and improvements to elasticity, disaster recovery, and high availability
- Build tooling, services, and automation including runbook automation and AI-assisted developer workflows to improve platform reliability and developer experience
- Partner with AI and backend engineers on deployment, CI/CD, observability, and performance optimization
- Lead infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration initiatives that reduce operational toil and improve incident response

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, or software engineering roles
- Experience working closely with development teams and proven ability to change production code
- Strong software development skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages
- Deep experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions
- Experience building observability and monitoring systems with tools like the Grafana stack
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and security fundamentals
- Passion for developer experience, automation, and high-scale systems
- Curiosity to work at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with AI/ML platforms or data-intensive systems
- Knowledge of agent frameworks, LLM orchestration, or event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with SOC operations, threat detection, or security automation tools
