Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company develops Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that integrates thousands of data streams into a real-time 3D command and control center. Anduril brings cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to military applications.
As a Senior PCB Design Engineer, you will work directly with engineering teams to produce printed circuit board designs supporting Anduril's defense systems. You will apply modern design standards and guidelines to create high-reliability, highly manufacturable assemblies. Your responsibilities include implementing combinations of high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and high-power designs; developing and refining team processes for PCB design, part creation, and library/database standards; coordinating external PCB design resources during design surges; and managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires expertise across a broad spectrum of PCB design disciplines, from high-density digital boards to RF circuits, power electronics, and flex circuits. You will communicate extensively with fabrication and assembly partners to ensure boards are built to specification. The position involves working with advanced technologies including high-density interconnect (HDI), high-layer-count boards, high-speed digital interfaces (USB, PCIe, Ethernet, SERDES, DDR memory), and controlled impedance routing.
You must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent; 7+ years of professional PCB design experience
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best practices for each design
- Expertise in IPC standards, CID, and CID+ certification
- Deep knowledge of PCB fabrication processes, limitations, design rules, and best practices
- Proficiency with Altium Designer CAD tools (Allegro is a plus)
- Experience developing component libraries and library management systems
- Excellent communication skills with multiple fabrication and assembly houses
- Experience with diverse board types: high-density, high-layer-count (>16 layers) digital designs, power electronics, flex circuits, and RF circuits
- Experience with HDI and thick boards (>1.6mm)
- Experience with high-speed digital interfaces and controlled impedance routing (USB, PCIe, Ethernet, SERDES, DDR memory)
- Eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
- RF board design experience
- High-pin-count package experience (FPGA fanout)
- Understanding of signal and power integrity rules and their impact on layout
