Sanity.io is building an AI-powered Content Operations platform used by companies like SKIMS, Figma, Riot Games, Anthropic, and Nordstrom. As Senior Partner Solutions Engineer for Technical Partnerships, you will own both the technical work and relationship management for a portfolio of Sanity's technology partners.
You will scope, prototype, and review technical integrations while managing the partner relationship itself—handling business conversations, project management, and strategic advisory. You report to the VP of Technical Partnerships.
Key responsibilities include:
**Partner Relationship & Strategic Advisory:** Own a portfolio of partners end-to-end, managing project plans, roadmaps, business conversations, and technical scoping as one continuous thread. Lead conversations with partner business and product leaders, fluidly translating between strategic and technical framing. Assess technical feasibility on the spot to keep strategic conversations moving, then follow up with detailed scoping. Shape partner pitches and joint roadmaps with grounded technical input so commitments are deliverable.
**Technical Scoping & Prototyping:** Identify and document technical opportunities for partner integrations or MCP-based solutions, including architecture, API surface, data flows, and integration points. Build prototypes and proofs of concept to de-risk builds or clarify design decisions. Produce clear technical documentation enabling partner engineering teams or Sanity R&D to build to production without re-scoping. Navigate partner APIs, SDKs, and technical documentation directly; speak credibly with partner engineers about integration design and trade-offs. Partner with R&D during build and launch to answer scoping questions and validate implementation.
**Technical Review:** Review partner-built integrations for code quality, security posture, API usage, and customer value. Provide clear, actionable feedback and flag systemic gaps to Product/Engineering.
**AI & Technical Fluency:** Be fluent in core AI application architecture and the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Conduct hands-on evaluation of partners' AI product surfaces (model choices, agent tooling, developer experience) to inform scoping. Identify where Sanity's content platform creates technical leverage in AI-native partner stacks.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work with Sanity R&D to hand off scoped opportunities and support builds. Support Solutions Architects and Sales Engineering with technical assets from your partners.
Success means integrations you own measurably contribute to Sanity product adoption and signup growth. Partners and internal stakeholders view you as a knowledgeable owner of both technical direction and business trajectory. R&D and partner engineering teams can build from your specs and prototypes without re-scoping. Partners treat you as a credible technical peer who understands their business strategy and architecture deeply.
**Requirements:**
- 3–6 years as a software engineer, solutions engineer, or technical partner/integration role, with a track record of scoping technical integrations, handing them off cleanly to build teams, and managing relationships around them
- Builder mentality: generate creative ideas for joint solutions rather than waiting for direction
- Comfortable in rooms with business and product leaders; able to translate strategic conversation into technical feasibility and back
- Hands-on experience with APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and modern AI/developer tools; comfortable prototyping directly in partner or third-party codebases
- Working knowledge of core AI/LLM concepts and hands-on experience with the MCP framework
- Strong technical writing: able to turn scoping conversations into specs others can build from
- Comfortable operating independently across ambiguous, undefined problems as well as well-scoped review work
**Nice to Have:**
- Experience reviewing or auditing third-party integrations for security or architecture
- Experience with headless CMS or headless commerce integration patterns
- Background in developer relations or technical partnerships
- Production experience with Sanity or building solutions with Sanity
