Salary: EUR 94,000 - 117,000 / annual
Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the IRM (Incident Response Management) squad. The IRM squad operates business-critical services that help organizations detect, respond to, and learn from incidents with minimal toil. The team's core values are unified experience, automation and integration, and observability-native design.
In this role, you will design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana's mobile application, owning its reliability, performance, and availability. You'll take features from initial ideation through to production, drive projects end-to-end, and participate in on-call rotations. You'll mentor and support team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate across frontend, backend, and mobile functions. The role emphasizes independent work in a fully remote environment with strong communication as a requirement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking an active role in influencing the roadmap and your career objectives
- Delivering new features and iterating based on results
- Driving projects from ideation to operations
- Contributing to open-source projects beyond your immediate scope
- Designing and maintaining the mobile application with focus on reliability and performance
- Participating in on-call rotations and owning operational aspects
- Mentoring team members and collaborating on design discussions
- Learning the cloud product, customer needs, and distributed systems architecture
You'll work in a remote-first, globally distributed organization with 40+ countries represented. The company is backed by leading investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, and others, with customers including Anthropic, Bloomberg, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Salesforce.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with at least one native mobile platform (Android or iOS)
- Strong production experience building Flutter apps, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and architecting maintainable codebases
- Experience taking mobile features from idea to release independently: clarifying requirements, exploring solutions, building, testing, CI/CD workflows, and shipping to App Store and Google Play
- Comfort integrating mobile apps with backend APIs and cloud services
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, performant code that is easy for others to understand and extend
- Motivated self-starter with bias toward action

- Pragmatic approach to breaking down complex challenges and delivering iteratively
- Strong collaboration and communication skills essential for remote teamwork
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a user of Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles (on-call experience or hobby projects)
- Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Familiarity with on-call operations, SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code
- Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects
