Salary: EUR 104,000 - 130,000 / annual
Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the Grafana IRM (Incident Response Management) squad. IRM operates business-critical services that help organizations worldwide detect, respond to, and learn from incidents with minimal toil. The mission is to make incident management easy and efficient through unified experience, automation, integration, and observability-native design.
In this role, you will design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana's mobile application, owning its reliability, performance, and availability. You'll take features from initial ideation through to production, driving projects end-to-end and iterating based on customer feedback. You'll participate in the team's on-call rotations, mentor other engineers, and contribute to design discussions. As part of a remote-first organization, you'll collaborate with teammates across 40+ countries using video calls and async communication.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building new features for the mobile application
- Owning the reliability, performance, and availability of the mobile app
- Taking mobile features from idea to release in a self-driven manner
- Participating in on-call rotations and operational ownership
- Mentoring and supporting team members
- Contributing to open-source projects and the broader Grafana ecosystem
- Learning the cloud product architecture and distributed systems

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with at least one native mobile platform (Android or iOS)
- Strong production experience building Flutter apps, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and architecting maintainable codebases
- Demonstrated ability to take mobile features from idea to release independently, including clarifying requirements, exploring solutions, building, testing, CI/CD workflows, and shipping to App Store and Google Play
- Comfort integrating mobile apps with backend APIs and cloud services
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, performant code that is easy for others to understand and extend
- Self-starter with bias towards action and customer focus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment
- Pragmatic approach to breaking down complex challenges and delivering iteratively
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a user of Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles (on-call experience or hobby/homelab projects)
- Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Familiarity with on-call operations, SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code
- Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects
