FlixTrain is seeking a Senior Manager for Regulatory & Legal Affairs to shape the regulatory and legal framework under which FlixTrain secures access to the German and European rail market.
In this role, you will monitor, analyze, and assess railway law developments, particularly regarding ERegG (Eisenbahnregulierungsgesetz), AEG (Allgemeines Eisenbahngesetz), and relevant EU legislation. You will analyze and evaluate procedures related to network access and track pricing, managing communications with and proceedings before the Bundesnetzagentur (German Federal Network Agency). From a regulatory perspective, you will support strategic network planning and represent FlixTrain's interests in industry forums and with external stakeholders.
You will serve as a key interface, working closely with internal teams in Network Planning, Public Affairs, and Legal. You will accompany regulatory legislative processes, occasionally with reference to competition law and public affairs matters. As part of an initially two-person team focused on regulatory and legal topics, you will have significant influence on FlixTrain's competitive positioning in the rail market.

**Requirements:**
- Completed degree in law (Rechtswissenschaften) or economics/political science with regulatory focus
- 5–7 years of professional experience in regulatory or legal roles, ideally in a regulated industry such as rail, energy, or telecommunications
- Knowledge of German railway law is advantageous but not mandatory
- Demonstrated experience working with regulatory authorities
- Ability to prepare complex regulatory matters clearly and appropriately for different audiences
- Excellent German and English language skills (C1/C2 level); additional European languages are a plus
- Structured, independent working style and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
