In this Senior LNG Market Analyst role, you will be a key member of the data and analytics team, responsible for maintaining the integrity and coverage of Kpler's LNG platform. Your day-to-day work will involve monitoring cargo data and emerging market sectors like LNG bunkering to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the Kpler LNG platform daily to maintain highest standards of data accuracy and coverage across cargo data and emerging sectors
- Structuring, auditing, and analyzing large, disparate, or unstructured trade datasets to track global energy flows and identify emerging market trends
- Partnering with Product and Engineering teams to convert market observations into technical improvements, refining data pipelines and expanding product features
- Conducting technical product demonstrations with global Sales teams to help clients extract maximum strategic value from Kpler solutions
- Tracking key developments across global gas markets, including infrastructure outages, trade rerouting, and maintenance events, ensuring data models reflect real-time market realities
- Collaborating cross-functionally with internal News and Insight teams while building strong industry networks to anticipate client intelligence needs
You will work in a dynamic environment where you translate complex market data into actionable insights, support sales enablement, and directly influence product development. The role bridges analytics, product strategy, and client engagement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of experience as a Market Analyst (or similar role) focused on Gas or LNG markets; additional prior experience in broader energy commodities sector is advantageous
- Strong technical proficiency in advanced Excel, with practical knowledge of SQL and programming/scripting languages such as Python or VBA
- Demonstrated capability in analyzing large, complex, and unstructured datasets to identify trends and inform strategic decisions
- Experience presenting data findings, platform features, or market insights to external clients and commercial stakeholders
- Strong logical thinking with attention to detail
- Highly motivated, self-starter mindset with passion for owning responsibilities and upholding trusted accuracy and agility of Kpler data
