Mytra is building robotics and distributed software to solve material movement and storage in the supply chain industry, targeting a $1T market. The company is scaling rapidly across office, lab, and manufacturing environments.
As Senior IT Infrastructure specialist, you will own the design, deployment, and operation of Mytra's core networking, systems, and physical security infrastructure across the Brisbane HQ, lab, and manufacturing spaces. This is a hands-on, technically deep role reporting to the Corporate IT team during a period of significant growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and deploy core network infrastructure (LAN/WLAN, switching, routing, firewalls, VPN, ISP relationships) across multiple facilities
- Own systems infrastructure including identity/directory services, backup and recovery (Druva), and cloud/DNS architecture
- Own physical security backbone: badging, access control, camera and surveillance systems (Verkada), and supporting network infrastructure
- Lead infrastructure projects from requirements through vendor evaluation, procurement, and implementation, including capacity planning for new spaces and headcount growth
- Design for reliability and resilience through redundancy and segmentation; define standards for cybersecurity enforcement; serve as senior technical escalation point for complex networking and systems issues
You will work closely with other teams in a fast-paced environment, moving quickly while maintaining documentation and designing to root cause rather than applying temporary fixes.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in IT infrastructure with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity
- Proven experience designing and operating enterprise networks (switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls, wireless, VPN)
- Deep systems knowledge: identity/directory services, backup and recovery, DNS, cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Experience with physical security infrastructure (access control/badging, camera systems, and supporting networks)
- Strong ownership, sound judgment under pressure, clear communication, and thoughtful challenge
- Track record of clear infrastructure documentation and designing to root cause
Nice to have:
- Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, network or security specializations)
- Experience supporting lab, manufacturing, or hardware/robotics environments with OT/IoT networking considerations
- Familiarity with automation, infrastructure-as-code, and structured IT governance or change management processes
