You will serve as the primary IT engineer for Airwallex's Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) organization, acting as a trusted technical advisor and builder of systems that enable the legal function to scale globally. This is a high-impact role with significant autonomy and visibility across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understand LRC workflows and ways of working, then design and implement solutions to improve and scale their function
- Build workflows and orchestrations using low-code/no-code platforms (Workato, Okta Workflows, Zapier) that integrate across multiple systems
- Leverage and implement AI tools tailored to legal operations (e.g., Harvey.ai)
- Work with APIs across major vendors (Okta, Google, GCP, Aliyun)
- Own legal applications and tools (Ironclad, Auditboard, Google Workspace, internal tools) as the technical owner
- Manage service desks and orchestrations using Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
- Own the full lifecycle of features from proof-of-concept through implementation, operations, and maintenance
- Handle escalations and incidents as part of an on-call roster
- Collaborate with INFOSEC, People Ops, Engineering, and IT teams to build scalable systems
- Write technical documentation and maintain solution diagrams
- Continuously evaluate and enhance products and offerings
This role is highly collaborative with global impact from day one, partnering with LRC teams across multiple countries and regions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar IT engineering or systems role
- Expert-level understanding of identity standards (SAML, OAuth, SSO)
- Expert knowledge of workflows and orchestration tools (Workato, etc.)
- Experience with programming languages (Python) and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Strong API integration experience with common vendors
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP)
- Deep understanding of RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, ACLs, and access management principles
- Experience with SaaS-based systems and applications
- Strong understanding of MDM systems (Kandji, JAMF, Intune)
- Ability to write strong technical documentation
- Highly trustworthy and empathetic; ability to handle privileged information
- Autonomous, able to work with minimal direction while maintaining velocity
- Ability to move fast and make correct decisions with incomplete information
