Salary: EUR 90,000 - 110,000 / annual
PhotoRoom is a leading visual solution for e-commerce, founded in 2019 and part of Y Combinator's 2020 cohort. The company has raised Series B funding, reached 300+ million users worldwide, and processes over 5 billion images annually. PhotoRoom serves both small businesses and major enterprises like Amazon, DoorDash, and Decathlon through its mobile app, web platform, and API.
You will be a Senior iOS Engineer responsible for taking the PhotoRoom app to the next level for millions of daily users. The role involves owning features from architecture through polished interface, shipping weekly releases, and helping shape the product roadmap in close collaboration with Engineering Management, Design, and Product teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and shipping new features for an app used by millions, regularly featured by Apple with a 4.8 App Store rating
- Owning work end-to-end: architecture, coding, and polishing interfaces for exceptional user experience
- Shipping a new app version weekly while monitoring product usage and making decisions based on fast user feedback
- Shaping the product roadmap and new features with Engineering Management, Design, and Product
- Raising the bar for the team through code quality, code reviews, and knowledge sharing while learning technologies like Metal, Core Image, and CoreML
The role is based in Paris with an in-office presence required 3 days per week. PhotoRoom offers substantial relocation support including a €10k signing bonus, apartment-finding assistance, and visa sponsorship.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience on iOS, primarily on consumer apps
- Strong experience with Swift and modern frameworks
- Deep care for user experience with a track record of shipping polished interfaces
- Strong sense of ownership; comfortable taking initiative and making product and technical decisions
- Pragmatic, iteration-driven mindset; favor speed of iteration over perfection
- Fluent in English (French not required)
- Nice-to-have: Curiosity about latest iOS ecosystem trends and active community participation (Do iOS, Swift Connection, etc.)
