Salary: USD 70,000 - 85,000 / annual
Kiteworks is seeking a Senior Information Security Officer to join its global security and compliance team. You will report directly to the Global IT CISO and work as a senior individual contributor, taking the lead on team projects while working independently on complex security initiatives.
In this role, you will own external security audits (ISO 27001, BSI C5, SOC 2), perform gap analyses, and implement new security frameworks and standards. You will serve as the full domain owner for identity and access management and supplier management, executing control tasks such as access checks, supplier reviews, and internal audits. You will implement security improvement projects across IT and software development, handle security incidents, and coordinate with control owners to ensure timely execution of compliance tasks.
As Kiteworks expands into new jurisdictions and embraces AI adoption, you will champion security improvement initiatives and use automation to streamline recurring compliance tasks. You will answer security and privacy questions from customers, prospects, and colleagues, and support the onboarding of newly acquired companies into the global security and compliance program. You will participate in weekly security meetings, flag emerging risks and opportunities, and collaborate with IT and development teams to balance risk management with business growth.
Kiteworks is a single-tenant-by-design virtual appliance company delivering data sovereignty and compliance-by-design solutions. Security and compliance are top priorities, and the company maintains multiple security certifications and assurance reports.
This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the Portsmouth, NH office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in information security and compliance
- Experience with ISO 27001 and information security management systems
- Experience with BSI C5 or SOC 2
- Experience conducting audits
- Experience with risk analysis
- Experience with identity and access management
- Knowledge of GDPR and privacy legislation
- Affinity with IT and software development
- Affinity with AI
- Experience in a tech company (highly preferred)
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong collaboration skills
- Fluent in English
- Ability to meet Kiteworks, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including background check upon hire and every two years thereafter
