Salary: EUR 70,000 - 80,000 / annual
Kiteworks is seeking a Senior Information Security Officer to join its global security and compliance team. You will report directly to the Global IT CISO and take ownership of corporate security, IT, cloud security, and the full compliance program for a company that sells secure communication and collaboration products.
In this role, you will manage multiple concurrent initiatives including running external security audits (ISO 27001, BSI C5, SOC 2), performing gap analyses, implementing new security frameworks, and keeping information security procedures current across departments. You will serve as the full domain owner for identity and access management and supplier management, executing control tasks such as access checks, supplier reviews, and internal audits. You will champion security improvement projects across IT and software development, coordinate with control owners, handle security incidents, and answer security and privacy questions from customers, prospects, and colleagues.
As a pragmatic problem solver, you will identify risks, propose mitigations, and drive implementation. You will work independently and lead team projects while collaborating with IT, development, and other departments. The role requires balancing risk management with business growth, including ensuring secure adoption of AI technologies. You will participate in weekly security meetings, flag new risks and opportunities, and support onboarding of newly acquired companies into the global security and compliance program.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in information security and compliance
- Experience with ISO 27001 and information security management systems
- Experience with BSI C5 or SOC 2
- Experience with audits and risk analysis
- Experience with identity and access management
- Knowledge of GDPR and privacy legislation
- Affinity with IT and software development
- Affinity with AI
- Experience in a tech company (highly preferred)
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong collaboration skills
- Fluent in English
- Ability to meet Kiteworks, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including background checks upon hire and every two years thereafter
