Salary: USD 129,000 - 198,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Maneuver Dominance team is building Thunder, an autonomous attack rotorcraft designed to fight alongside crewed combat aviation and deliver overwhelming mass effects deep beyond the front lines. You will own the avionics and communications architecture for a compact airframe where weapons, sensors, and radios compete for limited antenna real estate while flying low and in formation in contested spectrum environments. Key responsibilities include: - Full-cycle PCB design: requirements collection, schematic design, component selection, layout supervision/completion, bring-up, test, debug, and system integration - Development of air and ground vehicle avionics systems including flight controls, sensors, payloads, and networking - Collaboration with other air vehicle subsystem teams to manage development constraints - Peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews - Build-up and testing of avionics components through lab, ground, and flight tests - Low-level firmware development for bring-up and test - Root cause analysis supporting field operations - Cross-functional collaboration between software and hardware teams - Development of hardware bring-up and validation test plans for benchtop and product testing Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs - Competence with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes) and test automation - Familiarity with standard interfaces: CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB - Familiarity with digital communication buses: Ethernet, PCIe, HDMI - Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, and FPGA devices and technologies - Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits - Proficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred, others acceptable) - Experience in design for signal integrity and power integrity - U.S. Person status required (position requires access to export-controlled data) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience shipping products in volume - Experience with safety-critical applications (automotive, aviation) - Understanding of DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160, and relevant avionics design standards for UAS
