Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building advanced military systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system for real-time command and control. The Maritime Digital Production (MDP) team builds the full technology stack powering Anduril's shipbuilding factories, including data infrastructure, manufacturing execution systems (ArsenalOS), scheduling engines, and AI systems that eliminate manual work from the shop floor and business operations.
As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer on the ArsenalOS Deployment initiative, you will build full-stack web applications that power daily planning, work assignment, and team-lead dashboards on the factory floor. You will develop offline-capable, mobile-friendly interfaces for factory operators working in network-constrained environments where reliability and usability are non-negotiable. You will own maritime-specific manufacturing software requirements end-to-end, including the build-vs-extend decision for each capability, and design, develop, deploy, and operate systems across maritime factories.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building full-stack web applications for production planning, work assignment, and operational dashboards that drive real-time factory execution
- Developing offline-capable and mobile-friendly interfaces for factory floors, ensuring seamless operation in network-constrained or intermittent connectivity environments
- Partnering with manufacturing engineers and factory operators to translate production workflows into software requirements
- Writing production-quality code with comprehensive tests and participating in code review and architectural discussions
- Designing and implementing robust offline-first architectures using service workers, local storage, and background sync
- Building responsive, touch-optimized mobile interfaces for tablets and mobile devices in harsh manufacturing environments (gloves, low light, vibration)
- Architecting data synchronization strategies with conflict resolution and data integrity between edge devices and backend systems
- Deploying and operating systems in factory environments, including edge compute clusters and OT networks
- Leveraging AI tooling in development workflows and contributing to team engineering practices
- Joining an on-call rotation supporting production factory systems
- Collaborating cross-functionally with backend engineers, data engineers, factory systems teams, and operations
- Setting technical direction and mentoring junior engineers on best practices for resilient, user-centered manufacturing software
MDP operates at the boundary between Operational Technology and Information Technology, where factory-floor machines, edge compute, and OT networks meet enterprise platforms and cloud infrastructure. The team is scaling from a founding team to 70+ engineers across multiple U.S. sites. This is a strategic investment in digitizing the manufacturing lifecycle end-to-end, from engineering definition through scheduling through execution through field feedback.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering roles building production systems, ideally in fast-paced environments
- Deep expertise in full-stack web development with demonstrated mastery of both frontend and backend systems
- Strong technical fluency in modern software architectures, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud or edge infrastructure
- Proficiency with web-based technologies including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and modern web frameworks
- Experience building offline-capable web applications using service workers, IndexedDB, local storage, and progressive web app (PWA) patterns
- Experience building systems that operate reliably under real-world operational constraints (high availability, low latency, constrained environments)
- Experience working with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- U.S. Person status required (position requires access to export-controlled data)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or OT-adjacent domains (MES, SCADA, PLC integration, factory automation, IoT)
- Hands-on experience building mobile-first or offline-capable web applications for network-constrained, industrial, or field environments
- Experience with data synchronization patterns, conflict resolution strategies, and eventual consistency models in distributed systems
- Familiarity with frontier AI tooling, AI coding assistants, and AI-enabled software development workflows
- Experience in hyper-growth startup-like environments balancing speed, ambiguity, and long-term system health
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, WMS, or manufacturing planning systems
- Experience designing UX/UI for non-desk workers, including touch-optimized, rugged device interfaces and accessibility considerations
- Experience in manufacturing industries with hands-on exposure to assembly lines or production environments
- Understanding of edge computing architectures and deployment patterns for factory floor applications
- Experience with GraphQL, real-time data subscriptions, or WebSocket-based architectures
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
