Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a new skunkworks team focused on bringing observability and AI-driven analytics to the broader enterprise. The team's mission is to make Grafana the single best place where humans and AI agents understand and act on data across the enterprise, with a focus on use cases like product analytics and sales data.
You will own the full-stack development of AI-powered features that help users discover, organize, and optimize access to large datasets. Operating with high autonomy and ownership, you'll design, develop, test, and ship features that leverage LLMs and AI agents to lower the barrier of domain expertise and surface meaningful signals from complex data. The role emphasizes rapid experimentation, quick iteration with real users, and shipping impactful features that deliver measurable value.
Key responsibilities include building delightful, high-performance user experiences for AI-driven analytics; implementing highly iterative development processes with rapid prototyping and validation; collaborating with the team to shape product features and integrate agentic components with internal tools like Slack and alerting systems; using AI and automation tools to enhance both product functionality and your own development workflows; and taking full ownership of AI solutions to ensure they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with real user workflows.
This is a startup-like environment within Grafana Labs where you'll wear multiple hats and won't rely on dedicated cross-functional support teams. As the team matures, there is broad opportunity to expand or redefine the role based on impact and initiative. The team is a mix of seasoned Grafana engineers and new hires, operating with a high degree of autonomy, collaboration, and a culture that values curiosity, feedback, and cross-functional partnership.

**Requirements:**
- Track record of building user-facing experiences that balance utility with user delight
- Experience with LLMs, context engineering, and building applications powered by generative AI
- Proven track record of delivering software into production that is actively used by users
- Exposure to working in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience using observability tools to understand and troubleshoot system behavior
**Nice to have:**
- Experience building or working with agent frameworks or multi-agent workflows
- Experience as a data analyst or work with data platforms (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Snowflake, DataBricks)
- Experience building tools for data engineering
