Utorg builds infrastructure for stablecoin payments, including on/off-ramps, self-custodial wallets, and crypto cards. The platform serves over 2 million users across 130+ countries and powers 2,100+ B2B platforms with $2.4B+ in transaction volume. The company is fully MiCA-authorized across the EEA and PCI DSS Level 2 certified, backed by Dragonfly, TA Ventures, and Hypra. You will join as a senior full-stack engineer focused primarily on frontend development (70% frontend / 30% backend). You'll own features end-to-end—from UI design through production deployment—with the confidence to modify backend services when needed. The team operates in an AI-first development model, using Claude Code and other agentic tools as the primary way to plan, write, test, and review code. Key projects include: - Crypto on/off-ramp widget: an embeddable buy/sell flow supporting KYC, card payments with 3-D Secure, alternative payment methods, and customer account areas across multiple white-label brands - Merchant checkout: hosted payment pages ranging from simple one-step flows to complex multi-step journeys with KYC and compliance screens - Back-office admin apps: internal tools for operations, compliance, and support teams; you'll help migrate a legacy admin to a modern stack - Backend services: API endpoints and business logic in Java/Spring Boot, ensuring features are complete across the stack Responsibilities include owning features from ticket to production (UI, API contract, backend changes, tests, release, monitoring); making frontend architecture decisions and driving migrations; building and improving AI-driven development workflows (context files, shared skills, automated PR review); reviewing code from both teammates and AI agents; and collaborating with product, design, QA, and backend teams in a weekly release cycle. The tech stack spans React 18/19, TypeScript, Vite, TanStack Query/Router/Table, Zustand, MUI, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, Next.js, and i18next on the frontend; Java 17 + Spring Boot 3 and Kotlin + Spring Boot 4 on the backend; Node.js/TypeScript services; PostgreSQL, Redis, NATS, and Temporal for infrastructure; Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), FluxCD, and GitHub Actions for deployment; and viem/ethers for Web3 integration. Agentic development is central to the role. You'll maintain project context files (CLAUDE.md / AGENTS.md), write custom skills and commands, connect agents to real tools via MCP (issue tracker, GitHub, Figma, databases, browser), work in a plan → implement → verify loop with automated testing and type checks, run agents in parallel and headless (e.g., AI review bots in CI), critically review agent output, and stay current with evolving agentic tools and practices. You'll also use Playwright for end-to-end testing and Vitest/Jest for unit and integration tests, maintain security-first thinking (real money, personal data, auth tokens, iframes, cross-origin messaging), and work in an international team where fluent Russian is required (the team's working language) and English proficiency is needed for technical documentation. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of commercial frontend development - 3+ years with React + TypeScript in production - Solid modern React: server-state management (TanStack Query or similar), client state (Zustand/Redux), forms, routing, performance - Comfortable with large legacy codebases, not only greenfield projects - Production backend experience in at least one language (Java or Kotlin with Spring is a plus; Node.js/TypeScript, Go, or others acceptable) - Ability to design REST APIs, work with PostgreSQL (schema, indexes, migrations), and ship changes in Java services - Agentic development as your daily workflow: Claude Code, Codex, or similar agents; maintaining project context files and writing custom skills/commands; connecting agents to real tools via MCP; working in plan → implement → verify loops; running agents in parallel and headless; critically reviewing agent output and understanding failure modes; staying current with agentic tool evolution - Testing: Playwright for end-to-end, Vitest/Jest for unit and integration - Security-minded approach to real money, personal data, auth tokens, iframes, and cross-origin messaging - Fluent Russian (team's working language) - English proficiency for reading and writing technical texts (tasks, pull requests, docs) NICE TO HAVE: - Payments/fintech experience: card flows, 3-D Secure, alternative payment methods, KYC SDKs (SumSub), fraud prevention, open banking - Web3 frontend: viem/ethers, wallet connection, EIP-712 signing - Multi-brand (white-label) products, theming, design tokens - OpenAPI-generated clients (Orval), TanStack Router/Table - Kotlin, Spring Boot, NATS, Temporal - Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, GitOps (FluxCD), Cloudflare Workers
