Scribe is a specialized intelligence platform that automatically captures how work happens and turns it into a living asset for teams and AI agents. The company serves 90,000+ customers and 7 million users across 600,000 businesses, with 94% of Fortune 500 companies using the platform. Founded in 2019, Scribe is valued at over $1 billion and recently raised a $75M Series C in November 2025.
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will own a product area end-to-end, from design through post-launch results. During the interview process, you'll be matched to one of four teams based on business needs and your background:
- **Agents**: AI assistants and in-app guidance that help users complete tasks inside the software they use, including a new desktop AI work hub
- **Docs**: The core product for automated document generation and viewing, relied on by millions of users
- **Growth**: Signup, onboarding, checkout, billing, seats and SSO—helping people discover Scribe, see its value quickly, and expand their plan
- **Optimize**: The AI-driven intelligence layer that helps enterprises understand, measure, and improve how work gets done, turning raw activity into workflow data leaders can trust
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Own projects from design to launch on both established and new products
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to decide what to build and how
- Contribute to technical discussions, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architecture
- Uphold strong engineering practices: code review, test coverage, and observability
- Ship features end-to-end, from database and API to UI
- Build backend services across Python and Go, and the frontend that consumes them
**Why This Role:**
Scribe operates at the intersection of scale and startup agility—you'll have the reach of a large company with the team size and ownership of a startup. Major customers like T-Mobile, LinkedIn, HubSpot, New York Life, and Northern Trust already rely on the platform. Scribe Optimize's core systems are still being designed, so joining now means you help shape how they work.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years building production software at scale
- Product-minded: you care about the user problem as much as the code
- Comfortable with unclear problems and fast change
- Strong Python experience, or deep experience in another backend language with willingness to work across Python and Go
- Strong JavaScript experience with a modern frontend framework
- Nice to have: Django experience, AI/LLM product experience, startup experience
