Nango (YC W23) is a developer infrastructure company providing API access for agents and applications, enabling AI systems to connect to the real world through integrations. With over 700 paying customers including Replit, Ramp, Mercor, Vapi, Instantly, and Exa, Nango is a well-funded YC-backed company with multi-million ARR and a team of 14 engineers from top companies like AWS, Snyk, GitHub, Okta, Netlify, Uber, and Samsara.
You will join the core engineering team as a Senior+ Full-Stack Engineer in a product engineering role. You'll take features from customer conversations to shipped product, working across the API layer, runtime, and dashboard. Because Nango sells to developers, engineers directly drive the product roadmap, specifications, and execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ship product end-to-end, from backend services and APIs to dashboards and developer-facing UIs
- Build tools developers and agents use to reach Nango: APIs, SDKs, CLI, MCP, and the web app
- Work directly with customers to understand their integration and agent use cases, translating insights into product
- Design systems that remain reliable and fast as usage scales
- Shape the roadmap with high ownership of product and technical decisions
- Engage with the open-source community, owning and maintaining the repository
You'll work in a remote-first environment across North America, LATAM, or Europe, with a small, high-performing team that values autonomy and ownership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience at a senior level or above
- Strong backend fundamentals: APIs, databases, distributed systems, and performance optimization
- Comfortable working across the stack in TypeScript (Node.js services and React frontends)
- Product engineer mindset: you care about what gets built and why, not only how
- Strong communication skills, proactive and reliable in remote-first settings
- Developer empathy: you optimize for developer experience in every surface you touch
- Pragmatic, positive, low-ego approach; able to step up in incidents and unblock teammates
- Startup-ready: autonomous, driven by ownership, able to navigate ambiguity
- Based in North America, LATAM, or Europe
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience building agents or agent infrastructure in production (tool calling, orchestration, evals, MCP)
- Customer-facing experience (forward-deployed, solutions, or developer-facing roles)
- Shipped polished frontend work such as dashboards or developer UIs
- Built developer tools or open-source projects
