Roblox is seeking a Senior Frontend/Fullstack Software Engineer to join the Sharing team. In this role, you will build the foundation powering how millions of users capture, share, and discover content on Roblox Moments. You'll work across the full stack—from client-side user flows to backend systems serving billions of content requests daily—to deliver high-performance experiences.
You will own projects end-to-end, from architecture and design through launch and iteration, driving measurable impact on user engagement and content growth. You'll partner closely with product, design, and other engineering teams (including safety and infrastructure) to define architecture, improve reliability, and establish scalable solutions and best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build engaging, high-performance content creation, sharing, and consumption experiences across Roblox Moments
- Own projects end-to-end, driving measurable impact on user engagement and content quality
- Collaborate across product, safety, and infrastructure teams to align on scalable solutions
- Identify and lead improvements in performance, testing, and experimentation workflows
- Maintain high standards of technical quality and user experience while iterating rapidly
- Contribute to team culture through process refinement, mentoring peers, and supporting team success
This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on building scalable, developer-facing and user-facing products that blend technical depth with creative impact.
Roblox operates on a hybrid schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite at San Mateo headquarters, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years building production frontend or client applications, working on complex user interfaces in close partnership with product and design
- Deep hands-on React experience: hooks, component composition, render performance, and state management at scale with Redux or comparable patterns
- Solid web and client fundamentals: modern JavaScript, rendering and layout, with judgment about when framework abstractions help versus hinder
- Experience integrating with backend services over REST or GraphQL, and designing client data flows resilient to network issues
- Curiosity about working in multiple languages and runtimes; enthusiasm for learning Luau if unfamiliar
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
