Scalable Capital, a leading digital investment and banking platform with over one million clients and €30 billion in assets under management, is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Client Technology team. This team builds the digital experiences through which clients interact with the platform—from onboarding and authentication to consent management, client data, and support.
You will work with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and GraphQL to simplify complex financial processes and create secure, accessible, and reliable products in a regulated environment. The role involves designing intuitive client journeys, building frontend foundations, and balancing rapid delivery with long-term scalability. AI is central to how the team works, and you will use modern AI tooling in your day-to-day engineering workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining high-quality, client-facing web applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
- Designing and implementing GraphQL schemas, queries, mutations, and contributing to federated GraphQL services
- Contributing to the shared frontend component library and establishing reusable, accessible UI patterns
- Partnering with Product, Operations, Design, Data, and backend teams to build scalable solutions
- Writing clean, testable, maintainable code with emphasis on security, data privacy, accessibility, performance, and operational reliability in a regulated environment
- Contributing to server-side rendering and TypeScript-based backend functions
- Shaping technical direction, mentoring peers, and elevating engineering standards across the team

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or comparable practical industry experience building production-grade software
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js, and modern frontend application architecture
- Practical experience building production web applications, including responsive interfaces, accessibility, performance, authentication, and server-side rendering
- Good understanding of GraphQL with experience in GraphQL schemas, queries, mutations, and integrations; familiarity with federated GraphQL architectures
- Experience working with frontend component libraries and design systems
- Experience writing automated tests with modern frontend testing tools and strong understanding of maintainable frontend code
- Clear, open, and concise communication skills with professional fluency in English

- Experience building and maintaining federated GraphQL services

- Experience with TypeScript-based serverless applications
- Background building software in regulated, high-security, or operationally critical environments
