As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will lead the development of intuitive, scalable web applications within a fast-paced, innovative environment. You'll own features from ideation through production, collaborating closely with product and UX teams. You'll be a core member of Gong's frontend guild, participating in architecture huddles that shape the company's code standards and best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the full lifecycle of frontend features, from wireframes to production deployment
- Tackling complex technical challenges at the architecture, code, and product levels
- Delivering solutions that balance short-term practicality with long-term impact and scalability
- Contributing to the design and evolution of Gong's component architecture and design systems
- Translating product vision into a performant, scalable SaaS application
- Collaborating with a high-caliber engineering team to build products with significant market impact
You'll work in a flexible hybrid model that combines office, remote, and on-the-go work, with emphasis on autonomy, ownership, and effective collaboration.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of industry experience developing web applications, including large-scale, cloud-based systems
- Computer science degree or related field preferred
- Deep understanding of JavaScript and strong, proven experience with React (must-have)
- Proven experience architecting design systems and reusable components
- Familiarity with backend languages (Java, Node.js, C#, or similar) is advantageous
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for product quality
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a skilled peer group
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
