Virtuozzo builds infrastructure for the alternative cloud. You'll join the frontend team owning admin and self-service portals for Virtuozzo Infrastructure System (V/IS) and Virtuozzo Platform—dense, data-heavy UIs managing storage clusters, VMs, networks, S3, tenants, and pricing. This role is distinctive because Virtuozzo is pioneering spec-first, AI-native development practices. Specifications come before code. AI agents write a growing share of first drafts. Your job is building the harness that makes agent output trustworthy: agent instructions, hooks, automated review, e2e tests, and a product knowledge base agents query before touching code. You'll work with engineers excited to master this approach, not tolerate it. What you'll own: - Ship features end-to-end across two codebases: Virtuozzo Platform (React + TypeScript, Nx monorepo, Vite, Module Federation) and V/IS (Vue + TypeScript). - Work spec-first: PRDs become user stories, then feature specs, then code, with traceable IDs linking requirements, design, and implementation. Write specs precise enough for agents to implement, then review critically. - Build and improve the agent harness: AGENTS.md rules, skills, subagents, MCP servers, evals, and feedback loops that turn repeated review comments into lint rules. - Contract-first backend collaboration: agree OpenAPI/TypeSpec contracts before implementation, generate typed clients, build permission-aware (RBAC) UI. - Own quality through Vitest, Storybook interaction tests, and Playwright e2e running from PRs. Every bug fix includes a test; agents help reproduce and re-verify on real dev stands. - Prototype fast with AI against your real UI kit to validate ideas with PM and UX before committing to builds. - Modernize the stack: move V/IS toward micro-frontends and shared design systems, set per-remote bundle budgets, track Core Web Vitals. - Collaborate closely with Backend, Storage, QA, Product, and Design teams across Europe. Requirements: - 5+ years building production web applications with strong TypeScript and deep React expertise (rendering, state, routing, performance). - Vue experience (V/IS is built on it). - Daily use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar); can articulate concretely where they fail and what you did about it (context, rules, tests, hooks). - Comfortable writing specs and ADRs; think in contracts and interfaces, not just screens. - Testing discipline: component tests and Playwright e2e; fix flaky tests rather than retry them. - Experience with complex UIs: large tables, wizards, long-running async tasks, realtime websocket updates. - Modern tooling: Vite, monorepos (Nx, pnpm), CI/CD pipelines, Module Federation. - Security, accessibility, and performance by default (OWASP, CSP, WCAG, Web Vitals). Nice to have: - Infrastructure domain knowledge: virtualization, storage, networking, OpenStack, Kubernetes, S3. - Multi-tenant SaaS, RBAC, billing, or pricing systems. - Built MCP servers, agent skills, eval suites, or contributed to open source. - Design systems and Storybook experience.
