Performativ is a wealth management platform replacing legacy software with modern, integrated solutions for portfolio management, reporting, compliance, and client engagement. As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will co-own the front-end experience for the trading and analytics platform, building high-performance interfaces used by wealth managers and financial institutions across Europe.
You will have direct ownership of architecture, implementation, and production outcomes. The engineering team ships continuously, with front-end engineers working closely with backend engineers, product, and design to turn complex financial workflows into usable software. The current focus is scaling a Next.js and React architecture across increasingly sophisticated workflows while maintaining performance, server/client boundaries, theming, and shared components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building high-performance trading, analytics, and portfolio management interfaces for wealth management professionals
- Co-owning front-end architecture across Next.js 15, React Server Components, TypeScript, and shared application infrastructure
- Defining server and client boundaries, hydration strategies, and state patterns that keep the platform responsive as complexity grows
- Scaling the shared component library and multi-tenant theming across the platform
- Improving runtime performance, bundle size, rendering behavior, and application responsiveness
- Shipping production features quickly while making architectural decisions that scale
- Using AI coding agents where they improve engineering throughput while maintaining code quality control
- Strengthening front-end testing and delivery across Vitest/Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, and CI/CD workflows
- Co-owning implementation decisions from product outcome through production deployment
The role is based in Copenhagen with a hybrid model (office-based with work-from-home possible for good reasons). You should be based in Copenhagen or ready to relocate.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Built sophisticated production web applications with React and TypeScript, with ability to structure front-end codebases that scale with product complexity
- Deep understanding of modern React architecture, including React Server Components and Next.js App Router (or demonstrated technical depth to become productive quickly)
- Shipped production work using AI coding agents and understand where they improve output versus where direct engineering judgment is required
- Improved front-end performance through decisions around bundle size, hydration, rendering, data fetching, and runtime behavior
- Comfortable managing server state with TanStack Query and making deliberate decisions about colocated and client state libraries
- Built or extended component systems using tools such as Radix, shadcn/ui, or custom design systems
- Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and interaction design; able to make sound UX decisions independently
- Shipped tested production software using Vitest/Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, and automated CI/CD pipelines
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with trading, investment management, portfolio analytics, or data-intensive financial applications
- Experience with AG Grid or comparable data-grid infrastructure for complex datasets and interactions
- Experience with pnpm and Turborepo monorepos with generated API types from OpenAPI specifications
- Experience designing front-end systems supporting multiple tenants, brands, or configurable themes
- Experience mentoring engineers or raising engineering standards while remaining hands-on
