Tines is a workflow automation and AI platform founded in 2018 with co-headquarters in Dublin and Boston. The company powers intelligent workflows for customers including Canva, Databricks, Elastic, Kayak, Intercom, and McKesson, applying AI, automation, and integration to drive business results. Tines is vendor-agnostic, integrating with any API-enabled service, and is built with security and privacy by design.
You will join as a founding member of Tines' forward deployed engineering team, embedded directly with public sector and federal customers to drive transformational AI adoption. You own the full arc of customer success: from deepening adoption and enabling stakeholders to discovering new opportunities where the platform creates measurable business impact. You will be the trusted technical advisor customers rely on to realize maximum value from Tines.
Key responsibilities include:
• Own end-to-end deployment: Lead technical implementation of the Tines platform within complex enterprise environments, integrating with existing systems, configuring customer-specific workflows, and ensuring fast, smooth paths to deliverable outcomes.
• Drive adoption across the organization: Proactively support and train users and stakeholders at every level—from hands-on technical teams to business leaders—ensuring the platform is understood, actively used, and maximized.
• Identify and develop new use cases: Through deep familiarity with each customer's business, continuously surface new opportunities where Tines can create additional value, expanding adoption across teams, workflows, and business units.
• Be the primary technical point of contact: Serve as the customer's trusted advisor on all platform-related matters. Troubleshoot issues, deliver workshops, answer technical questions, and resolve blockers before they become problems.
• Maintain strong customer relationships: Build lasting partnerships at every organizational level, from daily users to executive sponsors, with a focus on long-term retention and growth.
• Feed insights back to product: Codify field learnings by surfacing recurring friction points, unmet needs, and high-value use cases to Tines' Engineering, Product, and GTM teams.
• Travel 20–40% to customer sites to build trust, accelerate adoption, and deepen relationships in person.
You will operate autonomously, thrive in ambiguity, and represent Tines at the highest level inside customer environments. You must be equally comfortable deep in a customer's technical environment, leading training sessions with non-technical teams, or presenting business cases to CTOs.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 8+ years in a technical, customer-facing role (Solutions Engineer, Pre-sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, Customer Success Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Integration/Implementation Engineer, or Software Engineer with customer exposure)
• 5+ years of experience working with public sector or federal customers
• Proven track record of driving adoption and delivering measurable value from complex technical products inside enterprise environments
• Strong engineering skills to own integrations, troubleshoot production issues, and understand customer infrastructure
• Strong Python skills (plus ideally TypeScript, Java, or similar)
• Production experience with LLMs and AI systems: prompt engineering, agent workflows, and deployment at scale
• Ability to train, enable, and influence stakeholders across all levels
• High agency and resourcefulness: find paths forward independently, escalate only when necessary, take full ownership of accounts
• Strong communication skills: clear, confident, low-ego; make complex things feel simple
• Willingness to travel 20–40% to customer sites
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not available
