Acronis, a global leader in AI-powered cyber protection, is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Engineer to own and enhance their highly customized, multi-entity, multi-currency on-premises Acumatica ERP environment. This is a hands-on technical role reporting to the Financial Systems team, where you will drive end-to-end ownership of ERP customizations, integrations, upgrades, and system improvements while partnering closely with Finance and business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include: providing second-line support for Acumatica users (troubleshooting functional, data, and technical issues); designing, building, testing, and deploying customizations across the full spectrum (Generic Inquiries, reports, and complex C# projects on the Acumatica Framework); building and maintaining integrations between Acumatica and internal systems using the Acumatica REST API and Workato; planning and executing annual version upgrades with refactoring, regression testing, UAT, and go-live support; partnering with Finance teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions; using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Copilot, ChatGPT) as a routine part of development and troubleshooting; monitoring application health, performance, and data integrity; and mentoring team members while acting as a subject-matter expert for Acumatica across the company.
The Financial Systems team is small and senior-focused, with high ownership: each engineer runs their own areas end-to-end and covers for colleagues when needed. You will work in a distributed multinational environment with flexibility to overlap several hours daily with US East Coast colleagues.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of hands-on Acumatica ERP experience, with at least 3 years in a technical/development capacity (customization projects, integrations, upgrades)
- Deep working knowledge of the Acumatica Framework: DACs, graphs and extensions, BQL, event handlers, Generic Inquiries, Report Designer, Business Events, Automated Processing, Import/Export Scenarios, and REST API
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET, T-SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Solid understanding of core accounting and finance processes (GL, AR, AP, sales orders, cash management, revenue recognition, multi-entity, multi-currency)
- Practical, day-to-day use of AI coding assistants or agents (Claude Code or comparable) in real delivery work
- Proven ability to run projects end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written communication in English
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting/Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience as an Acumatica implementation or technical consultant at a VAR or partner is highly valued
NICE TO HAVE:
- Relevant Acumatica developer or consultant certifications
- Experience with Acumatica version upgrades on heavily customized on-premises instances
- Experience integrating Acumatica with Workato or comparable integration platforms
- Exposure to SOX/ITGC controls, audit support, and change-management processes
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and automated testing approaches
- Experience with modern AI integration (MCP servers, agent tooling around ERP APIs, LLMs for support triage)
