BlueOptima is seeking a Senior Finance Specialist - Reporting to join its Finance team in Bangalore, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager. This role is central to establishing and enhancing the Financial Reporting function across the group, working with mid-level and senior management to ensure quality delivery of financial data and continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and reviewing books of accounts across all group entities, including prepayments, accruals, revenues, and costs
- Managing periodic book closures and preparing standalone and consolidated financial statements
- Overseeing both standalone and group audits
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management information system (MIS) reports for senior leadership
- Managing the entire financial reporting function across group entities and delivering insights to stakeholders
- Collaborating with mid-level and top management across sales, engineering, and other functions to build financial metrics and reports supporting decision-making
- Partnering with department heads to evaluate ROI of initiatives, track budget vs. actuals, and provide variance analysis
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information and statements
- Continuously reviewing and improving the reporting framework
- Exposure to global finance projects and cross-functional learning opportunities
BlueOptima is a global software engineering performance optimization company with consistent year-over-year growth in headcount and revenue (no external investment). The company operates across 4 countries (London HQ, Mexico, India, US) with approximately 100 employees from 34 nationalities.
Requirements:
- Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) or CMA (Cost Management Accountant)
- 1-3 years of post-qualification experience
- Proven experience building, owning, or significantly contributing to MIS processes
- Expert-level spreadsheet skills and management deck preparation
- Solid understanding of accounting frameworks
- Experience with accounting tools (Xero, Zoho, QuickBooks) is a plus
- Prior experience in multi-region, multi-currency environments is a plus
- Articleship or Big 4 experience is a plus
- Experience integrating AI into workflows
- SaaS or industry environment experience is an advantage
