You will lead the accounting and treasury organization behind Taxfix's growing multi-country business. Your focus is on creating reliable, scalable, and well-controlled finance operations across Group and statutory accounting, month-end and year-end close, consolidation, audit readiness, treasury, and core Record-to-Report processes. You will lead an experienced Finance Operations team responsible for Group and statutory accounting, month-end and year-end close, consolidation and financial reporting, Record-to-Report processes, Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash accounting interfaces, intercompany accounting and reconciliations, treasury and cash management, and audit preparation and accounting controls. The team has already established important foundations, including NetSuite as the group-wide ERP and a strong track record of successful external audits. Key responsibilities include leading, coaching and developing the Finance Operations team; owning timely and accurate execution of monthly and annual close processes across the Taxfix Group; overseeing statutory and Group accounting under HGB and supporting IFRS and consolidated reporting; ensuring accounting quality across multiple legal entities in Germany, Spain, and the UK; strengthening financial controls, reconciliations, process documentation, and audit readiness; acting as primary operational contact for external auditors, banks, and accounting advisors; establishing effective review routines, escalation paths, and performance standards; improving reliability and scalability of Record-to-Report and accounting components of Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash; overseeing day-to-day treasury operations including cash visibility, liquidity planning, and banking relationships; ensuring clear ownership and reliable processes across treasury, intercompany activities, and cash-related reconciliations; collaborating with the Tax team on relevant accounting dependencies; partnering with the Finance Systems Transformation team on NetSuite improvements; identifying and implementing pragmatic process and automation improvements; providing accounting and treasury input into selected business initiatives; maintaining transparency with the CFO regarding financial risks and operational priorities; and building a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-quality execution. Tax and Finance Systems Transformation are managed separately and are not part of your direct remit, though you will collaborate closely where their work intersects with accounting and treasury. REQUIREMENTS: - Significant hands-on experience in accounting or controllership, including ownership of month-end and year-end close processes - Strong knowledge of HGB and practical experience with statutory financial statements - Solid understanding of IFRS, consolidation, and multi-entity Group reporting - Strong operational finance experience across accounting, close, reporting, and treasury, including cash management, liquidity planning, and banking processes - Experience leading accounting professionals or a small-to-mid-sized Finance Operations team - Ability to build credibility with experienced specialists while remaining close enough to details to make sound decisions - Experience working in an international, multi-entity organization - Strong understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, reconciliations, and audit requirements - Demonstrated experience making finance operations more reliable, structured, documented, or scalable - Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus - Pragmatic approach to technology and automation - Confident communication with senior stakeholders, auditors, banks, advisors, and cross-functional partners - Structured and calm leadership style, particularly during close, audits, and periods of organizational change - Strong ownership, sound judgment, and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment - Fluent in German and English
