Axelera AI is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer to manage technical interactions with customers across India. You will serve as the primary technical expert for Axelera's Metis AI Platform, guiding customers through evaluation, adoption, and deployment of AI hardware including PCIe boards, modules, and vision gateways.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engage with customers to understand their technical needs and provide expert guidance on the Metis AI platform
- Address technical inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with R&D teams as needed
- Support customers in deploying AI models and pipelines using the Voyager SDK
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development on product launches and technology evangelism
- Work with Sales to expand existing accounts and identify new customer opportunities
- Track customer interactions and ensure effective follow-up communication
- Gather customer feedback and relay insights to Product Management
- Conduct competitive analysis based on customer and industry intelligence
- Contribute to product documentation and technical content creation
- Advocate for customer needs internally to drive product improvements

Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years in semiconductor and/or AI industry in customer-facing application development or technical support role
- Programming experience in Python, C/C++, OpenCL, or CUDA
- Experience with high-level ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Solid understanding of embedded systems with practical hands-on experience
- Solid understanding of server systems, preferably with hands-on experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with passion for AI advancements
- Ability to travel 30%+ to company sites and customer locations
