Salary: USD 203,400 - 275,200 / annual

Twitch Security Platform is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers building critical security tools, automation solutions, and data infrastructure. You will report to the Director of Security, Identity, and Privacy Platforms and manage engineers responsible for operating Twitch's security data platform, which handles billions of weekly events and a multi-petabyte data lake. Your team will also develop software to accomplish security at scale through automation, libraries, and services. Key responsibilities include: - Leading a diverse group of software engineers through excellent management and mentorship - Attracting, growing, and retaining top engineering talent - Overseeing the design, development, and deployment of scalable tooling and automation - Managing the full software development lifecycle from product discovery through roadmap prioritization to execution - Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Twitch on company-wide security programs including Fraud, Service-to-Service Auth, Detection and Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Engineering Intelligence, and Privacy - Extending, scaling, and redefining the Twitch Security Platform - Working with customers across the organization to gather feedback and inform engineering prioritization You will work with a team building infrastructure that powers critical security operations at scale. The role combines software engineering expertise with data engineering knowledge and requires hands-on understanding of modern security practices. Work locations available: San Francisco, CA; Irvine, CA; Seattle, WA; or New York, NY. REQUIREMENTS: - 7+ years of professional software development experience - 3+ years as an engineering manager or team lead - Knowledge of AWS services, open source technologies, and ETL tools and data warehousing solutions - Experience hiring and developing remote engineers - Experience gathering feedback from customers to inform engineering prioritization - Experience leading an AI-first engineering team BONUS: - B.S. or M.S. in computer science, software engineering, or related technical discipline - Experience working with petabyte-scale data systems - Hands-on experience using and managing Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Familiarity with Twitch as a viewer or creator
