Salary: USD 212,700 - 287,700 / annual
Twitch is the world's largest live streaming platform, hosting communities around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and more. The Security Platform team builds and operates technology at the intersection of security, privacy, software engineering, and data engineering.
As Senior Engineering Manager, Security Platform, you will lead a diverse group of software engineers building critical tools and automation solutions used across Twitch. You will report to the Director of Security, Identity, and Privacy Platforms.
Your team manages Twitch's security data platform, which handles billions of weekly events and a multi-petabyte data lake, along with numerous analysis tools providing critical data across the organization. You will also lead engineers responsible for writing software to accomplish security at scale through automation, libraries, and services. You will own the full software development lifecycle from product discovery and roadmap prioritization through execution. Programs supported include Fraud, Service-to-Service Auth, Detection and Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Engineering Intelligence, and Privacy.
Key responsibilities include encouraging excellent work through leadership, attracting and retaining top software engineers, overseeing design and deployment of scalable tooling and automation, collaborating with cross-functional teams on company-wide programs, and extending and redefining the Twitch Security Platform.

Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional software development
- 3+ years as an engineering manager or team lead
- Knowledge of AWS services, open source technologies, and ETL tools and data warehousing solutions
- Experience hiring and developing remote engineers
- Experience gathering customer feedback to inform engineering prioritization
- Experience leading an AI-first engineering team
Bonus qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in computer science, software engineering, or related technical discipline
- Experience making petabytes of data quick and easy to work with
- Experience using and managing Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Familiarity with Twitch as a viewer or creator
