Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in C# to join its Bengaluru office (with additional opportunities in Hyderabad and Pune). You will design, build, and operate platform services and user-facing applications supporting control planes, user-access management, and backup workflows.
In this role, you will own features end-to-end from implementation through production operation, continuously improving them based on usage patterns, operational signals, and customer feedback. You'll build reliable APIs and backend services in C#, develop responsive interfaces in React, and make technical trade-offs that balance correctness, scalability, security, cost, and maintainability. You'll write production-quality code, diagnose complex issues across the stack, and participate in on-call and operational responsibilities.
You'll collaborate with Product, QA, customer-facing teams, and engineering peers to clarify requirements and deliver production-ready features. You'll also strengthen engineering practices through code quality contributions, design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of features through production operation
- Strong proficiency in C# and experience building backend services and APIs with .NET
- Experience developing production applications with React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience building and operating production systems, diagnosing issues, and improving them based on real-world behavior
- Ability to turn loosely defined requirements into maintainable solutions and make sound trade-offs under uncertainty
- Collaborative and self-driven, with experience working across teams and time zones
- C++ experience is a plus
- Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred
