Salary: USD 126,000 - 167,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Tactical Recon & Strike team develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy, and operate, including products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius. The team takes products from concept to operational systems in close coordination with specialist teams.
You will join as a Senior Electrical Sustainment Engineer in Atlanta, GA, responsible for managing product sustainment in production, performing and owning design updates of embedded electronics, and troubleshooting issues across electrical and software boundaries.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage product sustainment in production with engineering improvements, cost reduction, and sourcing support
- Perform and own design updates of embedded electronics, including hardware selection, schematic and PCB updates, board bring-up, validation, and system-level integration
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers on product updates driven by new features and component obsolescence
- Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools
- Support sourcing teams managing long-lead and end-of-life components to ensure continuous production
- Support new product introductions, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware in a fast-paced environment
- Balance involvement in multiple sustaining projects at various stages
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience designing, testing, troubleshooting, and sustaining complex embedded systems and products
- Demonstrated experience with 8- and 32-bit microcontrollers, Linux-based SOCs, Ethernet, common communication buses (SPI, I2C), and power regulation
- Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current probes, and test automation
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (written and oral)
- Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation tools
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of embedded software development, including timers, interrupts, and hardware peripherals (SPI controllers, ADCs)
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira
- Familiarity with software development processes and tools (git, GitHub, etc.)
- Experience developing for safety-critical environments
- Experience with products used in tough environments (automotive, aerospace, defense, etc.)
