In this Senior Electrical Engineer role, you will design, test, and validate Battery Management and Power Sub-Systems (BMS) for autonomous vehicles. You will own the complete lifecycle from concept through production, including requirements generation and vehicle-level integrations. Your responsibilities include full-cycle PCB design—from requirements collection and schematic design through component selection, layout supervision, bring-up, test, debug, and system integration. You will develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses connecting electronic equipment, conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews, and perform build-up and testing of engine system components through lab, ground, and on-water tests. You will also support root cause analysis in field operations.
Note: Per Anduril's expansion plans, this role is currently based in Costa Mesa but is anticipated to relocate to Long Beach, CA beginning late 2027.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs
- Strong background in harness design, EE requirements generation, circuit design (including components), and mixed-signals design
- Experience with sensor integration
- Design experience in USVs, power electronics, or sensor suite/perception systems
- Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and test automation
- Familiarity with standard interfaces such as CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.
- Proficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred; Eagle and others acceptable)
- Experience in EMI testing
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
- Environmental testing experience in military, automotive, and/or commercial industry
- Previous experience working on BMS
- Knowledge and test execution per MIL-STD-810 and/or MIL-STD-461
