Salary: USD 165,000 - 195,000 / annual

As a Senior DevOps Specialist, you will join VIA's DevOps team to drive deployment, security, and reliability of Web3 data and identity protection solutions. You will identify priorities, develop clear technical perspectives, and lead work to completion in partnership with the DevOps team. You'll take ownership of key infrastructure components while shaping broader technical direction, leveraging AI-driven automation and infrastructure-as-code to eliminate manual processes and meet rigorous security requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Shape and operate infrastructure and deployment systems; design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling
- Drive reliability and observability through monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices that surface issues before customer impact
- Champion security and compliance by partnering with security teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with CJIS, CMMC, and SOC 2 standards, embedding security controls into automated pipelines
- Partner across engineering organization with leadership, Client Delivery Leads, and product teams to prioritize infrastructure work and align with project planning
- Identify and implement AI tools and agents to eliminate manual bottlenecks, including automated remediation, log anomaly detection, infrastructure-as-code generation, and compliance evidence collection
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering role in high-growth technical environment
- Deep technical understanding of IT infrastructure integration, Unix/Linux (DNS, storage systems, firewalls), TCP/UDP/IP behavior, and application data flows—must-have
- High proficiency in application deployment (Kubernetes, IaC such as Terraform, Docker) and configuration/monitoring (system logs, Kibana, Grafana)
- In-depth AWS experience required; Azure or GCP experience a bonus
- Experience managing network infrastructure, protocols, troubleshooting, and security (firewalls, security groups, OS/container hardening)
- Experience adhering to compliance frameworks (CJIS, CMMC, SOC2)
- Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
- Proven ability to independently manage priorities and plan across multiple development cycles, anticipating dependencies and resource needs
- Strong track record building stakeholder relationships with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Plus: blockchain node deployment (Ethereum miners), application orchestration, service mesh technology (Istio), IoT/Operational Technology device management
